CHILLI CON CARNE
1 Kg. minced beef without fat
300 gr. minced pork
1 medium sized onion chopped finely
2 cloves of garlic very much chopped
2 spoons of chilli powder (not spicy)
1 bay leaf
1/3 spoon of powdered Cumming
1/3 spoon of oregano
Salt & pepper
Red kidney beans
1 spoon of tomato puree
1 glass of red wine
Very hot chilli peppers (as many as your taste can stand).
Olive oil
Put the olive oil in a large, deep pan and sauté the meat together with the onions and garlic until everything is very well mixed.
Add the seasoning, salt, pepper, chillies and let it cook stirring it all the time for not allowing it to stick to the pan (about 40 minutes).
Serve it with plain or saffron rice and some chopped onions and grated cheese on top.
