Kantaifi with walnuts

500 g. kantaifi sheet
2 cups chopped walnuts
1/2 cup sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
250 g butter
for the syrup
1000 g sugar
700 g, water
300 g glucose
juice of half a lemon
1 – 2 cinnamon sticks

Mix the walnuts in a bowl, sugar and spices Open the fibers of kadaifi, but without mixing them together. Cut them to a length of approx 30 – 35 cm. Divide into strips and put on one end a spoonful of walnuts. Wrap in a roll and place in a well-buttered pan. Continue until the materials are finished. are about 25 pieces. Pour over the butter and bake in a preheated oven 190 degrees until the kadaifi is well browned. Meanwhile, prepare the syrup by boiling all the ingredients together 5 – 6 minutes. Let it become lukewarm. Remove the kadaifi from the oven and let it cool down a bit. Syrup the dessert as it is in the pan. Serve cold, plain or whipped cream or / and with ice cream.
